In Part 4 of our Department Series, professors from the Modern Languages Department answer a few questions to help you know what to expect and how to succeed as a Modern Languages major here at Mississippi College. Read here to see what they have to say about their department.
I have found that it becomes easier and easier to forget how thankful we are for the things and people in our daily lives. Of course we're thankful for our friends and family, but we don't always say that actively. The same goes for Mississippi College. I spend the majority of the year here, and I'm definitely caught in the day to day grind of classes, work, and social events. But at the Choctawk, we want to take the time to say thank you to Mississippi College. I think I speak for all of us when I say that MC has changed our lives for the better.
If you haven't heard, "Being MC" serves as this our orientation theme. It's a great theme, really. Orientation usually acts as a freshman's first introduction to college life, the first lesson out of the many that will follow. You really do have to learn how to be a college student and in this case, a MC college student. At the same time, a part of me cringes when I think about my freshman self's interpretation of "Being MC."
Over the past few months, the Choctawk blog has featured stories on several Profound Professors, but today, I have the opportunity to share with you our prodigious, preeminent, prestigious president, Dr. Lee Royce. Join me as I explore this living legend's life leading up to MC and look forward to his lasting legacy.
